Last updated 30 September 2026.
This notice is for residents of California and supplements our Privacy Policy. It is given under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the “CCPA”). Terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning here.
Signal Zebra does not currently offer or license its services to businesses located in California. That is a commercial decision and it does not limit the rights of California residents whose personal information we may hold. This notice sets out those rights.
We are a data broker
We collect and license personal information about consumers with whom we do not have a direct relationship. Under the CCPA that makes us a data broker, and our licensing of consumer data constitutes a sale or sharing of personal information.
Categories of personal information we collect
In the preceding twelve months we have collected the following categories, as those categories are defined by the CCPA.
- Identifiers — name, postal address, email address, telephone number, IP address, and unique or online identifiers used to match a device to a person.
- Customer records information — name, address, telephone number and employment information.
- Commercial information — records of services purchased or considered, and inferred in-market interest in categories of goods and services.
- Internet or other network activity — pages viewed on a client’s website where our pixel is installed, referring pages, and browsing behaviour used to infer interest.
- Geolocation data — approximate location derived from postal address or IP address. We do not collect precise geolocation.
- Professional or employment information — job title and employer.
- Inferences — profiles reflecting preferences, characteristics and predispositions, including likely in-market interest and household attributes such as homeownership and income range.
We do not collect biometric information, education records, or audio, video or similar recordings.
Sensitive personal information
We do not collect or process sensitive personal information as that term is defined by the CCPA for the purpose of inferring characteristics about a consumer. We do not build, license or score audiences on the basis of racial or ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, union membership, health, sex life or sexual orientation. Because we do not use sensitive personal information for those purposes, the right to limit its use does not arise. If that changes, this notice will be updated and a “Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information” link will be provided.

Categories we have disclosed, sold or shared
In the preceding twelve months we have disclosed for a business purpose, and sold or shared, the following categories: identifiers; customer records information; commercial information; internet or other network activity; geolocation data; professional or employment information; and inferences.
The categories of third parties to whom those categories were sold, shared or disclosed are: our clients, being businesses that license our data; our data suppliers and identity graph partners; and our service providers, including hosting, CRM and analytics providers.
We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 years of age.
Retention
We retain each category of personal information for as long as it is needed for the purposes set out above. Enquiry and customer records are kept for the duration of the relationship and for as long afterwards as is needed for legal, accounting or dispute-resolution purposes. Consumer database records are refreshed and removed on an ongoing cycle as our sources update, and are deleted on receipt of a valid request.
Your California rights

- Right to delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to the exceptions in the CCPA.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
- Right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information, where a business uses it to infer characteristics. See the section above.
