Privacy Policy

Last updated 29 September 2026.

Signal Zebra LLC (“Signal Zebra”, “we”, “us”) provides identity resolution, data enrichment and audience-building services to businesses. This policy explains what personal information we handle, where it comes from, who we share it with, and what choices you have.

Read this part first

We are a data business. We maintain and license access to a database of United States adult consumer profiles, we match anonymous website visitors to identified people on behalf of our clients, and we license contact and audience data. Under several state privacy laws this makes us a data broker, and some of what we do counts as selling or sharing personal information. We would rather say that at the top than bury it.

How to reach us

Signal Zebra LLC

Email: info@signalzebra.com
Phone: +1 801-949-5595

The two ways we handle personal information

  • As a business running our own website. Information about people who visit signalzebra.com, enquire about our services, or become customers.
  • As a data provider. Profiles of United States adults that we match, enrich and license to our clients.

Information we collect about our own visitors and customers

  • Contact details you give us: name, email address, phone number, company, website and state
  • What you write in a form, a chat or an email to us
  • Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page
  • Cookies and similar technologies used on our website
  • Records of your communications with us, including appointments booked

Information in our consumer database

  • Name
  • Postal address
  • Email addresses, personal and business
  • Phone numbers, mobile and direct, each carrying its Do-Not-Call status
  • Job title and employer
  • Household attributes such as homeownership and income range
  • Inferred in-market interest signals
  • Pages viewed on a client’s website, where our pixel is installed

We do not build, license or score audiences on the basis of race, ethnicity or religion.

Where that information comes from

  • Licensed third-party data suppliers and identity graph providers
  • Publicly available sources
  • Our clients, who supply their own contact lists for enrichment
  • Activity on websites where one of our clients has installed our pixel

About the pixel

Our clients install a small script on their own websites. When someone visits a page carrying that script, we attempt to match the visit to a person in our database and return that person’s contact record, together with the pages viewed, to the client who owns the site. Not every visit resolves to a person.

Each client is responsible for disclosing this in their own privacy policy and for having a lawful basis for any follow-up they carry out. If you were contacted by a business after visiting their website and you want to know where your details came from, ask that business first; you can also contact us at info@signalzebra.com.

How we use personal information

  • To provide our Identify, Append and Prospect services
  • To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve those services
  • To respond to enquiries and provide support
  • To send service messages, and marketing messages where you have agreed to receive them
  • To apply Do-Not-Call suppression and meet other legal obligations
  • To detect and prevent fraud and misuse

Who we disclose personal information to

  • Our clients, as the service they have purchased from us
  • Our suppliers and processors, including data providers, hosting and CRM providers
  • Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants
  • Authorities, where we are required by law or legal process
  • A buyer, if the business or its assets are ever sold

Our licensing of consumer data to clients constitutes a “sale” or “share” of personal information under several state privacy laws. We do not sell the personal information of anyone we know to be under 18.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it, to have it deleted, to opt out of its sale or sharing, to opt out of targeted advertising and certain profiling, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and not to be treated differently for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@signalzebra.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line. Tell us which right you are exercising. We will take reasonable steps to verify who you are before we act, which usually means confirming details we already hold. We respond within 45 days and may extend once where the law allows, in which case we will tell you. You may use an authorised agent, and we may ask for proof of their authority.

California residents

We do not currently offer or license our services to businesses located in California. That is a commercial decision and it does not limit the rights of California residents whose personal information we may hold.

If you are a California resident, you may exercise the rights set out above under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and the right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. Send your request to info@signalzebra.com.

Residents of other states

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey and Tennessee, have comparable rights, including the right to opt out of the sale of personal information and of targeted advertising. Use the same email address above. Where a state gives you the right to appeal a decision we make about your request, you may appeal by replying to our response and asking for a review.

Do-Not-Call

Every phone number we supply carries its Do-Not-Call registry status so that our clients can suppress those numbers before dialling. Applying that suppression, and complying with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and any state equivalent, is the responsibility of the business placing the call. If you are receiving calls you did not ask for, ask the caller to stop and to tell you where they obtained your number.

Cookies on our own website

signalzebra.com uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work properly if you do.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry and customer records for as long as we have a relationship with you and for as long afterwards as we need them for legal, accounting or dispute-resolution purposes. Records in our consumer database are refreshed and removed on an ongoing cycle as our sources update them, and we remove records when we receive a valid deletion request.

Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our services are directed to businesses, not to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 or knowingly include minors in the audiences we build. If you believe we hold information about a minor, contact us and we will delete it.

Where our services are available

Signal Zebra does not currently offer, sell or license its services to any business or individual located in, organised under the laws of, or purchasing on behalf of a person located in California, Texas, Vermont or Oregon.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. If we make a significant change we will say so on this page.
